Attended my cousin’s wedding in Sungai Petani yesterday, while waiting for the dinner after the tea drinking ceremony in the morning, I took my sister and mother to Lembah Bujang Archaeological Museum, about 30minutes from Sungai Petani…
For your short information, Bujang Valley is least well-known compared with our Lenggong Valley which is just listed under UNESCO World Heritage, but this was one of the earliest Hindu-Buddhist kingdom here possibly as early as 110CE.
The area consists of ruins that may date more than 2000 years old. More than fifty ancient tomb temples, called candi (pronounce “chandi”), have also been unearthed.
And for your info, the entrance is free. And as a Malaysians, we should all work together to preserve our precious heritage and promote it to everyone,as Bujang Valley was once a must-stop harbor for those traders between the trade-route from India to China 2000 years ago…
And, this is a good spot for photographing too, sharing pictures which I took for my sister @ Lembah Bujang…
And not to forget my mother…hehe…
Your pics are superb
